BRILIB completes ‘Rocinante’ Program to support Lebanese farmers

·         The program is carried out in collaboration with Spanish veterinary schools

BRILIB XXXII completed 'Rocinante' Programme, developed during one week together with Spanish veterinary teachers who carried out various activities to support Lebanese livestock farmers. 

Thus, five university teachers from the University of Murcia and one from the University of Cordoba (Second Lieutenant -Reserve Officer-) provided veterinary assistance in the area of the Eastern Sector of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The teachers could use medicines and vaccines thanks to donations from Spain.

As part of the collaboration, 26 students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lebanese University of Beirut participated in the programme, which was coordinated with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture.

This program is carried out thanks to the agreement between the Defense Staff  and the Conference of Deans of Veterinary Faculties of Spain.
