A delegation from Ceuta General Command visits the "Gran Capitan" base in Besmayah

Iraq
February 26, 2020

Military Personnel of the next contingent of the operation 'Support to Iraq' could know first-hand the situation of the mission

As has become customary, and regarding the various rotations that have taken part in the mission that Spain is carrying out in Iraq, when a contingent reaches the halfway point of its mission, a representation of the contingent that is going to take over makes an inspection visit on the spot in order to know in detail about the work being carried out.

For that reason, personnel who will make up the next rotation of Operation Support to Iraq (A/I) belonging to the Ceuta General Command (COMGECEU) visited the Gran Capitán base in order to live and share experiences with the current contingent for six days.

During the stay, each member of the next contingent worked side by side with his counterpart to see how to carry out the responsibilities and duties entrusted in order to maintain the same level of operability achieved by our Armed Forces within the international Coalition.

At the end of the week, the commander of the new contingent, Colonel Alfonso Ramiro Bueno, thanked the current commander, Colonel García del Castillo, for the willingness, work and information provided by the personnel deployed.
