After a five-week training period, the Ukrainian soldiers who have received their basic training at the Basic Training Unit (UFC) in Toledo have completed the course.
The 18th 'Basic Recruit', or Basic Training Module, ended with the presentation of diplomas to the Ukrainian personnel by the instructors of the fourth rotation of the EUMAM-UA operation.
Operation EUMAM-UA (European Union Military Assistance Mission - Ukraine), in a coordinated manner among all the countries of the European Union, meets the needs formulated by Ukraine with regard to the training and instruction of its military personnel.
The Toledo Training Coordination Center (TTCC) is the structure that carries out these training and instruction tasks in Spain, through permanent units such as its Headquarters and the Army's CFU, located in Toledo, and other temporary units that meet the specific needs of the Ukrainian armed forces.
This fourth rotation will be led, from 6 June and for the next six months, by the Brigade "Galicia" VII, the BRILAT.
Currently, the 12th Farnesio Cavalry Regiment, located at the "El Empecinado" Military Base in Valladolid and belonging to the BRILAT, is the unit that will provide the bulk of the personnel participating in this fourth rotation of the operation.
The contribution of the Farnesio Regiment to the mission will be more than 120 soldiers, divided into 15 people to direct and coordinate, from the TTCC Headquarters in Burgos, the training modules developed by the units of the Army, the Navy and the Air and Space Army; and more than a hundred soldiers from the "Santiago" I/12 Light Armoured Cavalry Group, belonging to the "Farnesio", who will give the basic training courses in Toledo, making up the UFC.
