The General Director of the 'Toledo Training Coordination Centre' visits the Combat Training Unit in Toledo.

  • The Combat Training Unit (UFC in Spanish) trains Ukrainian military personnel in two specific modules taught at the Infantry Academy in Toledo.

The General Director of the Toledo Training Coordination Centre (TTCC), Brigadier General Fernando Ruiz Gómez, visited the Combat Training Unit (UFC in Spanish) at the Infantry Academy.

The Combat Training Unit is part of the Toledo Training Coordinated Centre as part of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine (EUMAM-UA). This unit is responsible for providing basic training and instruction to Ukrainian personnel on national territory, and also provides various specialised modules in combat healthcare training. To date, the Combat Training Unit has contributed to train more than 1,500 Ukrainian military personnel. 

After greeting the components of the Unit, the Head of the CTU, Lieutenant Colonel Julio Juan Fernández Álvarez de Sotomayor, provided an update on the situation, including the state of the facilities and the means available to carry out the mission. After the presentation, the General had the chance to personally inspect the training activities that are being carried out to train Ukrainian personnel.
