‘Tercio de Armada’ launches a new training module of the 'Toledo Training Coordination Center' for the Ukrainian Armed Forces

• The fifteenth Basic Training Course imparted by the Sixth Military Group of the 'Tercio de Armada' of the Marine Infantry begins the training of a new contingent of Ukrainian military personnel as part of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine (EUMAM UA)

Nearly a hundred members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have arrived in the province of Cadiz to begin their basic combat training with the Sixth Military Group of the 'Tercio de Armada' as part of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine.

The training of the Ukrainian soldiers will be carried out by members of the Second Landing Battalion of the Marine Infantry Brigade 'Tercio de Armada'. It will last approximately five weeks and will take place mainly at the Sierra del Retin Maneuvering Area and at the facilities of the 'Tercio de Armada'.

The focus of the module is on the basic individual and unit training of military personnel and their qualification to perform the tasks of infantry combatants in conventional combat in high-intensity scenarios.

Through the exemplary, tough, and demanding activities that characterize the Marine, they seek to instill in Ukrainian recruits military values and combat skills, as well as to strengthen their will to win.

During the training period, the Ukrainian military will perform offensive and defensive exercises, strengthening training in trench warfare and combat in an urban environment. The combatants will also be instructed in the use of different weapons systems and in the tactical treatment of casualties in combat, aimed at facilitating the future integration of these personnel into their units.

By the end of this module, almost 600 members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have been trained by the 'Tercio de Armada' since the mission began, always bringing with them their exemplary character, adaptability to the situation and extreme exigency, as principles present in the Marine.
