The Marine Infantry School "General Albacete y Fuster" has delivered a new Planning Module for Ukrainian personnel.

• Throughout 2023, more than 100 officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been trained at this school during the various activations of this module.

Between September and October 2023, a new module on Tactical Planning of Land Operations for Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was developed at the Marine Infantry School "General Albacete y Fuster" (EIMGAF) in Cartagena, within the framework of the Spanish participation in the Military Assistance Mission of the European Union.

The training aims to deepen the knowledge of the use of the 'Tactical Level Operations Planning Method', as well as to improve the knowledge of land tactics and the ability to work in a team in planning tasks. The development builds on the preparation and experience of the Amphibious Warfare Department, and is organised on the basis of the 'Amphibious Tactics for Marine Corps Officers' course, with emphasis on the specific subject of 'Operational Process and Planning Method'. The teaching is structured in two parts. The first is of a theoretical nature, the aim of which is to provide officers with the necessary knowledge of the aforementioned method.

The second is of a practical nature, the aim of which is to apply the concepts learned through the development of a defensive and an offensive military operation at Tactical Group level.

Through the study and practice of the integration of combat functions into the operational process and the method of tactical planning of operations, students acquire the skills related to advising the command and conducting operations required of operational staff officers. The first edition of the module was delivered at the EIMGAF last semester, and since then the EIMGAF has trained more than 100 officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with a high level of satisfaction and achievement..
