Navy to train new contingent of Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteers

• For this purpose, the Marine Corps generates its third Combat Training Unit (UFC) "Tercio de Armada".

The contingent of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen to be trained by the Combat Training Unit UFC "Tercio de Armada" in the framework of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine EUMAN UA has arrived.

The mission aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend their territorial integrity within their internationally recognised borders, as well as to deter and respond to possible future aggression.

The training of the Ukrainian military personnel will be carried out by members of the Marine Infantry Brigade 'Tercio de Armada', mainly at the Sierra del Retin Manoeuvre Field and at the facilities of the Tercio de Armada.

This is the third rotation of Ukrainian personnel to be trained at this centre, after the first two modules developed in the first half of 2023.

The training module is aimed at the basic training of Ukrainian military personnel and their training for infantry combatant duties.

The training will focus mainly on instruction in offensive, defensive and urban combat tactics and techniques, as well as on the use of various weapon systems and the treatment of combat casualties, with a view to their effective integration into the units of their Armed Forces.
