Deployment of the Tactical Group 'Canarias' in the eight islands of the archipelago

Personnel of the units of the Brigade 'Canarias' XVI, integrated in the Tactical Group “Canarias”, will carry out patrols of presence, surveillance and deterrence throughout the archipelago, with the mission of ensuring the security of land areas of national sovereignty and be prepared to react to any possible incident.

These types of missions are common and allow all its components, not only to have a perfect knowledge of the island ground, but also with their work contribute to ensure the freedom, rights and welfare of all residents.

The Land Operational Command (MOT) is the responsible body of the Armed Forces in charge of planning, conducting and monitoring all these operations, under the operational control of the Operations Command.
