Spanish soldiers from the Air Force Parachute Sapper Squadron, under operational control of the Operations Command, provided tactical training in precision firing to the Senegalese Armed Forces within the framework of the Cooperative Security activities in which Spain takes part, proving our Armed Forces’ commitment to an important ally, such as Senegal, and the stability of the country is also supported.
This training included lectures on issues such as different classes of weapons, estimation of distances or shooting with moving targets and shooting exercises at different distances and urban and combat precision firing. All of that served to improve skills in the use of firearms and their shooting training in open areas.
The instructors for this activity belong to both the Parachute Sappers Squadron (EZAPAC in Spanish) based at the Alcantarilla Air Base and the Joint Special Operations Command (MCOE in Spanish) and have been training members of the Special Forces of the Senegalese Air Force for a month, confirming the improvement and progression of students in these subjects.
