Spanish Mali Contingent funds the upgrading of a sewing training center.

• The Civil-Military Cooperation team finances a project of the congregation 'Nuestra Señora de África’, aimed at improving the situation of young Malian people.

The Civil-Military Cooperation team of the European Training Mission Mali has financed a quick-impact project, which was addressed to the people assisted by the religious congregation 'Nuestra Señora de África’, to refurbish their Sewing Training Center in Bamako.

To this end, the photovoltaic installation that provides electricity and water supply has been improved, in addition, the electrical installation has been repaired and the environment has been made safer. Thus, it improved the daily routine, giving up with the supply interruptions and ensuring the ongoing of the educational activities, which have been carried out in the center.

Concerning to sewing center, it has been equipped with twelve sewing machines (manual, electric and embroidery). In addition, appliances and fabrics have been supplied. This actions increase the center's capability to provide training.

The inauguration was chaired by Spanish Colonel Emilio González Vega, who was supported by the director of the training center, Marie Kanyoni Bangaya, nuns of the congregation, local authorities, people close to the institution and employees.

Thanks to actions like this, the Spanish Armed Forces improve the development of economic, social and welfare development of the population, as well as enable the interaction of our soldiers with the Malian society.
