Spanish troops in Mali give away medicines and cuddly toys donated by Spain

  • Donations come from the Cofares Foundation and the NGO 'Humanitarian Mission'

Spanish military personnel deployed in the European Union mission EUTM Mali have been in charge of receiving and handing over health products and toys donated respectively by the Cofares Foundation and the NGO "Misión Humanitaria", respectively. The soft Toys were delivered through 'Caritas Castrense' under a project named 'Solidarian cuddly toys'.

Pediatric medicines have been distributed to the “Guardian Angel” Sisters, the juvenile facility runned by the Immaculate Mary Sisters congregation, The “Gabriel Touré” University Hospital and the “Mother Theresa” health center, all of them in Bamako, as well as “Mother-Son” health center in Koulikoro. Meanwhile, children from the “la Pouponniere” orphanage will enjoy the cuddly toys.

Heads of the Centers where delivery has been carried out expressed their enormous gratitude, underlining the great success that it means for the ones that need it.

These donations are very helpful for Malian families and and strengthen Spain's ties with Mali.
