Tactical Air Detachment 'Orion' visits schools in Djibouti's Arta region

- The visit is part of the activities planned to define future Civil-Military Cooperation projects.
The 49th contingent of the Tactical Air Detachment 'Orion' continues to carry out Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) actions in eastern Djibouti, in order to identify potential Quick Impact Projects for the coming year.
On this occasion, the Spanish contingent, in collaboration with the Italian CIMIC team, visited the schools of Damerjoog, Douda and Nagad, where they were received by the school principals, who showed them the facilities and shared information about the existing needs.
These three schools are the most prominent in primary education in the Arta region of Djibouti, hosting more than 1,000 pupils between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.
With this type of activity, Spain not only reaffirms its commitment to support Djibouti's society, but also lays the foundations for defining a strategy that will enable the implementation of future projects aimed at improving teaching conditions in the country's primary schools.
