The frigate F-104 'Méndez Núñez' continues training as part of operation 'Noble Shield'.

• The Spanish ship has carried out firing exercises, flight operations training, and night provisioning with the combat supply ship 'Patiño'.

The frigate 'Méndez Núñez' continues to participate in operation 'Noble Shield', sailing under national operational control of the Operations Command, and integrated into the core of NATO's rapid reaction maritime forces along with other ships from allied countries.

It has been conducting reconnaissance patrols of surface and air contacts in its area of responsibility and fulfilling one of its primary missions, developing naval presence and deterrence alongside allied units. At the same time, it continues to conduct exercises to maintain the highest possible level of training.

The frigate 'Méndez Núñez' has carried out three exercises in collaboration with the other Spanish ship in the group, the Combat Supply Ship 'Patiño'. The first of these was a firing exercise with the main assembly, where 40 shells were fired at a drifting surface target. Subsequently, the helicopters of the 'Patiño' and the 'Méndez Núñez' (Morsa and Toro respectively) were exchanged and, finally, a night refuelling with the 'Patiño' was carried out once again.
