eFP XIV contingent participates in 'Snow Assault' combined arms tactical exercise

• The mechanised tactical sub-group and the sapper company have demonstrated their high degree of readiness.

The manoeuvre area of the Adazi Military Base was the setting for the 'Snow Assault' tactical exercise in which the mechanised tactical sub-group and the sapper company of the eFP XIV contingent took part.

The exercise consisted of an assault on an enemy defensive position, which had been previously prepared by the sappers. The operation began with fire from the Leopard tanks and the anti-tank defence platoon with their Spike missiles, while the sappers approached the points where the enemy position was to be breached. Behind them, the mechanised sections with their Pizarro vehicles, once the corresponding breaches had been opened, dislodged the simulated enemy from their positions, consolidating them and thus concluding the exercise.

The contingent continues with its deterrence and defence duties. To this end, it participates in exercises such as 'Snow Assault' which are essential to maintain readiness, consolidate force cohesion, and test the condition of combat equipment and materiel.
