Students of the XLI National Defence Course visit the Spanish troops in the eFP operation

Students of the XLI National Defence Course have visited this Tuesday 26 the military base of Ādaži, Latvia, where Spanish soldiers participating in NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) mission are deployed.

The students of the course, taking place at the Centre for Advanced National Defence Studies (in Spanish CESEDEN), come from different sectors of Spanish society, as well as from the three armies and the Guardia Civil. During their stay in Latvia, they were able to get to know first-hand the facilities and materials that Spanish military have at their disposal at the Adazi base. They also witnessed a real fire exercise by the Tactical Group "Latvia" in which Canadian LAVs, the Spanish vehicles Pizarros and Leopards, Spanish Armoured Caterpillar Transports (TOA) and Czech mortars demonstrated the capabilities and interoperability achieved by this unit.

The visit to the Spanish troops is framed within the objectives of the course, the aim of which is to provide civil decision-makers in our society with a closer view of the Armed Forces and the missions in which they participate.
