First collaboration between the Spanish contingent 'AT XIX' and the Turkish Air Force.

• AT XIX contingent collaborates with the 111th Squadron of the Turkish Air Force to improve the collective training level

The first collaboration of the current 'AT XIX' contingent with the Turkish Air Force took place at Incirlik Air Base (Adana), testing the crews of the pawn control station.

This joint exercise follows the visit of the head of the Alliance Air Command to Türkiye during the month of April 2023. During the visit, the Turkish Air Force (TURAF) proposed to start training drills with the Spanish 'Patriot' battery deployed in Incirlik in the operation 'Support to Türkiye'. Practices that would contribute to the improvement of the training level of both parties. This proposal was well received and after the pertinent authorizations, the first aerial collaboration took place on November 15, 2023.

On this occasion, for this second collaboration, F-16 fighter jets from the 111th Kunya Squadron have performed approaches to the area of responsibility of the Spanish battery. These exercises are a great training opportunity for the Spanish contingent and a way to improve relations with our hosts.
