Relief of personnel in Operation 'Support Turkey' at Incirlik Airbase

- The AT XIX contingent is committed to contribute to the ballistic missile defence of the Turkish city of Adana in continuation of the NATO operation.
The Incirlik Air Base in Adana hosted the handover and transfer of authority ceremony of Operation 'Support to Turkey' between the AT XVIII and AT XIX contingents.
The ceremony was presided over by Colonel Juan Eugenio Moreno Jiménez, representing the Operations Command. After the changing of the contingent's script, it was the turn of the speeches of both Lieutenant Colonel Alejandro Fresno Calvo, Chief of the A/T XIX contingent, and the Authority who presided over the ceremony.
The head of the contingent, Lieutenant Colonel Fresno, in his speech stressed the pride of being able to contribute to the peace and security of a friendly and allied country such as Turkey. Colonel Moreno also addressed both contingents, highlighting the outstanding work carried out by the personnel who are finishing their mission and wished those who are now starting theirs a good mission.
Finally, the traditional act of homage to those who gave their lives for Spain was performed and the Artillerymen's Hymn was sung to conclude the military parade.
