BRILIB XXXII Legionnaires Commemorate the Battle of Edchera in Lebanon

·         The Spanish Legion  have carried out the event simultaneously with Almeria

Saturday, January 18,  at 1:00 p.m., and simultaneously with the event held in Almería, the military personnel of the Legion, components of the XXXII Brigade in Lebanon, fell in at the "Miguel de Cervantes" base to pay tribute to those who died in the battle of Edchera on January 13, 1958 and also in memory of all those who gave their lives in operations.

Special mention should be made of the warrant officer II Francisco Fadrique Castromonte and the legionary Juan Maderal Oleaga, who were posthumously awarded the last two individual Laureate Cross of San Fernando in the Spanish Army. The decoration of the Royal and Military Order of San Fernando is  the highest decoration of the Spanish Army.

The ceremony was presided over by the commander of the Brigade in Lebanon, General Marcos Llago.
