Contingent Ispuhel XIX receives first chinook 'F' model helicopters

• Task Force Toro has received the first two CH-47F Chinook units to replace the Cougars previously deployed

The Spanish contingent of the Helicopter Unit in Iraq (ISPUHEL in Spanish) XIX (also known as Task Force Toro) has received the first two "F" model Chinook helicopters, out of the three that will be deployed, at Al Asad Air Base.

The contingent has received assistance from a Deployment Support Team (EAD in Spanish) composed of personnel from the Helicopter Transport Battalion (BHELTRA in Spanish) V, which will be the generating unit for the next rotation.

Also, the arrival of the Antonov 124 cargo plane was used as an opportunity to load the first two Cougar helicopters, thus beginning the first phase of the withdrawal of these helicopters from Iraq to national territory.
