·       This is a collaborative project within the framework of civil-military cooperation activities

Marfil Detachment delivered medical equipment to Grand M'Bour Hospital in Senegal. An ultrasound machine, a mobile respirator and a resuscitation bed, along with other medical equipment were delivered.

The force commander of the detachment, Lieutenant Colonel Miguel Ángel Paredes Marín, accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Ana Alemán Suárez, were in charge of delivering the equipment to Dr. Koudouss, Medical Director of the Emergency Department of the Grand M'Bour Hospital.

The doctor showed the Spanish military some of the hospital emergency rooms, as well as the work methodology, and thanked the support that Spain has been giving to this hospital during the last years. The Spanish staff met the hospital's director, who also thanked the support given.

These civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) activities are known as "quick impact projects" and have a direct effect on the well-being of the civilian population. Furthermore, they provide a good perception of the Spanish units operating in the area, which always has an impact on the good development of the mission.
