For the first time, within the Basic Informative Courses in Cyber Operations for 'MTM', the modalities of Operator of Security Audits (OAS), Operator of Digital Investigation (OID) and Operator of Implementation of Cyber Defense Systems (OISCD) have already started.
These three courses have been specifically designed to train military personnel in these three profiles.
The 'CBICO MTM' - OAS is oriented to students achieving the necessary knowledge and skills to participate in activities related to the conducting system certification. This activity is necessary to develop the resilience of owned systems and ensure compliance with established security standards.'CBICO MTM - OAS' is oriented to students learning the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in activities related to the auditing of conducive systems. This activity is necessary to develop the resilience of their own systems and ensure compliance with established security standards.
The 'CBICO MTM - OID' students will develop skills in the field of incident investigation and response. This activity is necessary for the protection of own networks and defense against intrusions and external threats.
Finally, the objective pursued with the 'CBICO MTM - OISCD' is that the students can support in tasks of design and implementation of systems for the conduct and execution of operations in cyberspace. This skill is necessary to support military capabilities to be deployed in cyberspace.
The aim is to provide the students of the Military Cyber Operations School with the necessary training to operate in dynamic, complex environments with a multitude of operational alternatives.
Training actions design and planning has been the responsibility of 'EMCO'. For the execution of these activities, the Air and Space Force has collaborated with the support provided by the Base of 'Cuatro Vientos' and the efforts, dedication and facilities of the School of Command, Control and Telecommunications Techniques (EMACOT), which has made available to 'EMCO' the personal resources, classrooms, services and spaces necessary for the academic activities to begin.
Thirty-six students from the MTM Scale of the Army and Navy participated in these three training activities. All the students had already passed the Basic Course of Specialization in Cyber Operations (CBECO MTM), a necessary requirement for this new stage of training.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Commander of the 'MCCE', Vice Admiral Javier Roca Rivero, together with the Colonel Director of the EMACOT, Antonio Caballero Obra, and the Colonel Director of the EMCO, Francisco Palomo Pérez.
Together with the students, authorities and EMCO's management team, the inauguration was also attended by the teachers who will conduct these three courses. As on previous occasions, these professionals come from the 'Centro de Estudios Superiores y Técnicos de Empresa' ('CESTE' University Center).
The course will conclude at the end of February next year and students who pass the training will receive their accreditation certificate.
