The VI Conferences of Cyber Defence and XVIII STIC CCN-CERT organised by the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN), the Joint Command of Cyberspace (MCCE) and RootedCON, which took place in the ‘Kinépolis Ciudad de la Imagen’ cinemas, have been held at the closing ceremony.
The closing session included contributions from Vice Admiral Javier Roca, Commander of the MCCE, and Luis Jiménez, Deputy Director of the CCN.
During the event, the ATENEA Awards were presented by the CCN. The MCCE also awarded the ‘Grey Beret’ prize for the first time. It was awarded to ISDEFE ( Defence Systems Engineering), and the award was received by its CEO, Francisco Quereda, in recognition of the daily effort and constant collaboration with the Command for more than 10 years.
This year's conference went beyond all expectations, with the participation of 81 sponsoring companies, 15 collaborating entities and 9 specialised media covering the event. More than 7,000 people attended the event, which has enhanced the inter-professional relations and networking of the sector's experts. The conference had a great international impact, with attendance from more than 30 countries and several international organisations.
The presence of MCCE staff was very large, giving visibility to the Unit and positioning it as one of the key entities in the field of cybersecurity.
