  • Once again this year, the Cyber Defence Conference is held at the Kinépolis cinemas attracting a large audience.

The VI Cyber Defence Conferences, organised by the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE by its Spanish acronym) are once again being held at the Kinépolis cinemas in Madrid. These conferences, coinciding in time and space with the XVIII Conference STIC CCN-CERT, organised by the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN in Spanish), have managed to attract more than 6000 people, filling the capacity and the halls with attendees interested in cyberdefence.

This event was attended by the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence (JEMAD),  Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy (AJEMA), Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force (JEMA), Deputy Chief of the Army Staff (2nd JEME), the director of the National Intelligence Centre and the director of the CESTIC. The Commander of the Joint Cyberspace Command, Vice Admiral Francisco Javier Roca Rivero, along with the Deputy Director of the CCN Luis Jiménez, kicked off the VI Conference with a speech aimed at highlighting the new emerging dangers in cyberspace, the value of human capital and cooperation between the public, private and international community, as well as the important role of constant and proactive training.

Once again this year, thanks to the close collaboration between the Joint Cyber Space Command (ESPDEF-CERT) and the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN-CERT), the Cyber Defence Conference has managed to bring together private companies in the sector along with the public bodies in charge of guaranteeing freedom and security in our country's networks. Workshops, conferences, networking and a strong desire to learn, all gathered at Kinepolis and allowed both the attendees and the organisers to focus their efforts and interests in a common direction: security and the protection of our democratic values on the networks.
