Commanders of the Operations Commands from fourteen countries have met in Spain at the Retamares base -headquarters of the Operations Command (MOPS)-. Under the chairmanship of the MOPS Commander, Lieutenant General Francisco Braco Carbon, the officers have shared their different points of view on the current operational situation as well as possible solutions to current conflicts. They have also outlined the need to elaborate together and in a cohesive manner the key principles for international stability.
General officers from Germany, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, the United States, Spain, Estonia, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden have analysed the international situation, with a special focus on the problems and conflicts affecting Africa, a geostrategic enclave for which solutions must be found.
This meeting shows the willingness to coordinate on the part of the main players in charge of the operational plans as well as the need to give continuity to these meetings.
