The delegation then proceeded to Iraq. In Baghdad, it was greeted by the senior non-commissioned officer of NATO Mission Iraq (NMI), Army Senior Enlisted Leader Pedro Ángel Sierra Salas. He was also able to visit the different installations of the "Union III" Base and Operation "Inherent Resolve" where he was able to see on the spot the progress of these NATO operations and the activities being carried out by the Spanish force deployed there.

Accompanied by the CSEL of the mission, the Command Senior Enlisted Leader to the ESP CHOD, met with a representation of non-commissioned officers and troop and sailor personnel. During the meeting, he heard about their professional and personal concerns.

The CSEL highlighted the dedication, selflessness and extraordinary professionalism of the personnel deployed on the mission, and their daily dedication to the fulfilment of their tasks, which can only be carried out with a great professional vocation and personal involvement.
