Command Senior Enlisted Leaders from specific positions meet at the Defence Ministry's Central Body

• They have dealt with general interest issues related to the professional development of the non-commissioned officer and troop and sailor ranks

The Command Senior Enlisted Leaders (CSELs) of the Defence Staff, Defence, Army, Navy, Air Force and Air and Space Force hold regular meetings to discuss issues of general interest related to the professional development and concerns affecting the personnel of the non-commissioned officer and troop and sailor ranks.

In these meetings, issues of concern to the personnel of these ranks that are common to the Armed Forces (EMAD, Defence, ET, ARM and EA) are presented, regardless of their organisational structures. Likewise, the measures and initiatives adopted by each of these organisations to deal with the different cases are discussed. In this way, the senior CSELs are given different points of view and perspectives regarding the solutions that could be applied in their own structure.

The meeting was organised by the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Defence and took place on 1 March at the premises of the Central Body, located at Paseo de la Castellana, 109, in Madrid. During one of the breaks, the Sub Secretary of Defence, accompanied by the Vice Admiral, Director of his Technical Cabinet, had the chance to greet the CSELs.

The schedule with the topics to be discussed was previously dispatched by the respective CSELs with the Chiefs of Staff of the Army and Navy and with the Chief of Defence Staff. Once the meeting ended, the corresponding minutes were drawn up, setting out the issues discussed and the agreements reached, which were subsequently sent by each senior non-commissioned officer to the authority to which he or she directly reports. In this way, these authorities have the overall vision provided by their senior CSELs, and the agreements they consider are included in the agenda of the Chiefs of Staff Council, which also takes place periodically.
