The Chief of Defense (JEMAD), Admiral General Teodoro Esteban López Calderón, visited the facilities of the technology company Arquimea in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid.
Upon arrival, the Chief was welcomed by the company's president, Diego Fernández Infante, and other executives from the defense and space sectors. The delegation then visited a static exhibition where the admiral was able to see various loitering munition systems, such as the Q-SLAM-40, “the flagship product,” in the words of the company's president.
Afterwards, we took a tour of the manufacturing facilities: the machining, welding, and assembly areas, the clean room, the R&D room, the 3D printing room, the testing and verification room, and the warehouse.
The delegation then moved on to the headquarters of Arquimea Espacio, where the Chief attended a presentation on the company's main technologies and capabilities, as well as the projects currently being undertaken by the company's Research Center.
The visit ended with a tour of the manufacturing, integration, and verification facilities for space products.
