Military music concert to mark National Day

The Chief of Defence is presiding over this event, in which seven military bands are taking part

The Chief of  Defence, Admiral Teodoro E. López Calderón, presided over the military music concert held to mark National Day at the Royal Palace in Madrid.

The following military bands took part in this event: the 1st Infantry Regiment ‘Inmemorial del Rey’; the Getafe Air Force Barracks; the ‘King Alfonso XIII’ Brigade of the Legion; the Madrid Marine Infantry Group; the 52nd ‘Regulares de Melilla’ Group; the Directorate-General of the Civil Guard; and the Royal Guard.

Among the marches that have been played are ‘Adelante Inmemorial’, ‘Hijos del viento’, ‘El novio de la muerte’, ‘Viva la marina’, ‘Bandera y regular nº1’, ‘Agüero’ and ‘España cañí’.

To bring the event to a close, a mixed music group was formed by the participants, who performed several marches and concluded with the national anthem.
