The Artificial Intelligence Reference Centre demonstrates its capabilities to the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command

• The Unit, attached to the Defence Staff, has carried out a demonstration focusing on AI applied to the fifth domain of national sovereignty

A delegation from the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (MADOC) has visited the facilities of the Defence Staff’s (EMAD) Artificial Intelligence Reference Centre at Retamares Base.

During the meeting, representatives from MADOC were briefed on the technological capabilities being developed by the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) in the field of artificial intelligence. The presentation focused on applications designed to strengthen cyberspace, which is regarded as the fifth domain in which national sovereignty is exercised.

During the event, the importance of consolidating sovereign technological solutions for cyber defence was highlighted; this strategic area constitutes the first line of protection and intervention in today’s digital environment.

The visit has served to strengthen cooperation and create synergies between the two organisations, and to bolster their joint efforts in integrating new technologies aimed at defending and protecting national interests.
