The Joint Cyberspace Command takes part in the opening day of the ‘Cybersecurity Summer Bootcamp’

In León
July 14, 2026

The Command personnel involved in this initiative are focusing on developing the capabilities required to carry out cyber operations

The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) took part in the launch of the ‘Cybersecurity Summer Bootcamp’. This programme is being held in León and is organised by the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the University of León.

The ‘Cybersecurity Summer Bootcamp’ is now in its 11th year and has established itself as an international training programme specialising in cybersecurity, aimed at law enforcement agencies, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, judges and magistrates, politicians, regulators, legislators and specialists from Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs).

Furthermore, some of the MCCE’s staff are currently on a course to develop the skills they will use in cyber operations. This year’s training programme offers a highly practical approach based on advanced simulations and the analysis of real-life case studies. The programme covers key areas such as cyber crisis management, malware analysis, cloud security and cybercrime investigation, and its modules have incorporated cutting-edge tools and challenges, such as the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT), blockchain, cryptocurrencies and emerging threats, such as deepfakes.

Furthermore, the technical activities conclude with Red vs Blue Team-style exercises and the advanced Core NetWars simulation, with the aim of preparing professionals to respond to incidents in real-world operational environments and consolidating their skills in line with industry best practice.

The MCCE’s presence at this conference goes beyond the training aspect to provide a forum for connecting with various cybersecurity professionals and harmonising approaches. This joint effort and the exchange of best practice help to strengthen resilience and security in the digital environment.
