Admiral López Calderón has met with his Jordanian counterpart
The Chief of Defence (JEMAD in Spanish), Admiral Teodoro E. López Calderón, has undertaken a two-day working visit to Jordan.
On his arrival in Amman, the country’s capital, he was met at the airport by the Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, Miguel de Lucas González.
At the Jordanian Armed Forces Headquarters, and following the official welcome ceremony, the Chief of Defence held a meeting with various military commanders of the Jordanian Armed Forces and subsequently with his Jordanian counterpart, Major General Yousef Huneiti. During these meetings, Admiral López Calderón received updates on the Jordanian Armed Forces, their future projects and the security situation in the region. He also discussed various key issues relating to the security of both countries with his counterpart.
He then travelled to the ‘King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre’, known by the acronym KASOTC, a training centre for special operations forces. There, he was able to observe an exercise conducted by the King Abdullah II Special Forces Command.
Before concluding his visit to Jordan, Admiral López Calderón also visited the facilities of Deep Element Technologies, a Jordanian technology company specialising in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS systems.
