The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) participated in the defense conference “Tactical Communications and Cyberspace,” co-organized by the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (MADOC) and the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications (ETSIIT) at the University of Granada.

The MCCE’s external advisor on Institutional Relations, retired Commander Enrique Pérez de Tena, delivered the lecture “Do You Really Know Cyberspace?” During his address, he highlighted the Command’s work to protect the rights and freedoms of all of society in the digital environment and to guarantee the Armed Forces’ freedom of action in the fifth domain. He also emphasized the importance of the human factor in this task: “Beyond technological advances, people are the most important element when it comes to defending cyberspace.”

The MCCE’s presentation was part of a conference that offered a comprehensive overview of current defense technology, structured into three main sections: tactical communications, the digital environment, and career opportunities. It also complemented the presentation on the Legion’s capabilities as applied to military operations.

The program concluded with an in-depth analysis of military infrastructure—ranging from general issues to the brigade-level liaison model—presented by the Legion’s Signal Company. Finally, an informational session on the recruitment of engineers into the Armed Forces was conducted by Captain Ildefonso Menor of the Defense Office in Granada.
