The commander of the Joint Cyber Command (MCCE), Vice Admiral Javier Roca, presided over the closing ceremony of the basic courses in Cyber Operations Specialisation (CBECO) for officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, taught by the Military School of Cyber Operations (EMCO).
This event marked the end of the training received by the 126 students from the three courses. The acting director of the EMCO highlighted the importance of the school's achievement in conducting the courses simultaneously, as this represented a significant challenge for the EMCO staff, and he expressed his special gratitude to all the staff for their effort and dedication.
He also highlighted the commitment of the students, together with the involvement of the teaching staff, which has enabled a high degree of preparation for their new posts, many of them in the MCCE, but also in other army units related to cyber defence.
For his part, Vice Admiral Roca emphasised the importance of the human factor in an environment as technical as cyber operations. It is the personal element that makes the difference with the enemy, by highlighting the ability of individuals to create synergies within working groups, generating the necessary cohesion in the team. Finally, he highlighted the milestone achieved with the incorporation into the MCCE of personnel recently graduated from the Army and Navy academies and schools, which continue to enable the Command to grow in quantity, but above all in quality.
The event was also attended by the head of the Cyber Operations Combat Group and the deputy operations officer of the MCCE Chief of Staff.
