The Chief of Defence (JEMAD), Admiral General Tedoro E. López Calderón, participated in the panel discussion entitled 'Technological sovereignty and digital autonomy. The future begins here', in which he stated that ‘it is essential to equip ourselves with the defence, exploitation and attack capabilities that will enable us to carry out operations in cyberspace. This will also allow us to achieve sovereignty in other physical and cognitive domains’.

For her part, the director of the CNI, Esperanza Casteleiro Llamazares, gave the welcome speech, and the Secretary of State for Security, the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and the director of the State Agency for Digital Administration accompanied JEMAD on the panel.

Under the slogan ‘A digital shield for an interconnected Spain’, experts from the public, private and academic sectors will spend three days sharing knowledge, experiences and strategies through presentations, round tables and specialised workshops.
