Given the momentum that new technologies and cyber defense are gaining within the Armed Forces, Navantia has invited the Joint Cyber Command (MCCE) to the first “National Conference on Naval Combat Cloud” that it has organized.
In his speech, the MCCE representative explained the progress being made at the 5G center to identify vulnerabilities that exist in this technology, which is capable of interconnecting “almost” everything that contains a chip. He emphasized that when cybersecurity fails, the MCCE has to defend the systems.
During the round table discussion, experts from S2 Grupo, Telefónica, and Navantia, as well as the University, explained their contribution to making 5G and future generations of 5G more cyber secure for society.
The conference brought together leading representatives from industry, innovation, academia, and government agencies to promote synergies aimed at the joint development of advanced technological capabilities.
The conference program included presentations on the vision and capabilities of the Naval Combat Cloud, European R&D&I projects, and the integration of CIS/ICT resources into the I3D infrastructure. In addition, round tables were held on communications, AI, and unmanned vehicles.
The National Conference on Naval Combat Cloud, organized by Navantia as part of its shared commitment with the Navy to innovation, collaboration, and the development of new-generation naval capabilities, took place at the Center of Excellence (COEX) for Naval Systems in San Fernando, Cádiz.
