The Joint Cyber Command (MCCE) has welcomed Portugal's “Força de Operaçoes de Ciberdefesa” to strengthen ties and share knowledge and procedures on cyber defence.
Thus, a visit was made to the various MCCE units so that our Portuguese counterparts could familiarise themselves with the Command's organisational chart and internal responsibilities. In addition, meetings were held with the aim of joining forces and sharing ideas on the Command's operation and organisation.
In this regard, support has been provided to the Portuguese Command in the technical development of its capabilities, covering various areas of expertise, including human and technological resources, special equipment, interoperability and security, training programmes, legal advice and other additional aspects.
The Portuguese delegation was composed of Rear Admiral Alexandre Joaquim Gamurça Serrano, commander of the Portuguese Cyber Command, who was accompanied by Commander Fernando Miguel Borges Costa da Silva, head of the Cyber Defence Operations Force, who expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided during the visit.
