UVE participates in a VERIFEX exercise in Norway

•  The exercise was led by Germany and consisted of the inspection of the Bjerkvik Military Storage Site and the Norwegian Northern Brigade.

The Spanish Verification Unit (UVE) participated as a guest in the VERIFEX exercise, led by Germany, which took place in Norway.

For preliminary preparations, the UVE officer who attended as a guest inspector joined the German inspection team at the headquarters of the Bundeswehr Verification Centre in Geilerkirchen, Germany.

The team then flew to Tromsø, Norway, where they were welcomed by members of the Norwegian verification unit. From there, the delegation travelled to Bjerkvik, where the first visit and inspection of the Military Storage Site Bjerkvik took place.

Subsequently, the evaluation exercise was carried out at the “Brigada Norte” in the town of Heggelia. After the welcome and initial briefing, the base was visited, including an inspection of the three battalions, as well as the dining hall, barracks, gym and other common recreation areas.
