The Centre of Excellence against Improvised Explosive Devices provides training on Analyst's Notebook software

•  Ten students of six different nationalities participated in the course, acquiring knowledge on how to use this threat network analysis tool

The Centre of Excellence Against Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED COE) has held a new edition of the Analyst's Notebook Users Course on how to use this software at its facilities in Hoyo de Manzanares, Madrid.

Inaugurated by the Director of C-IED COE, Colonel Javier Sanz Maldonado, and led by Civil Guard Lieutenant José Ignacio Almendral Pastor, the course brought together 10 students of 6 nationalities belonging to different armies, forces and security forces.

Attendees acquired theoretical and practical knowledge on how to use Analyst's Notebook® software as a tool to work that are carried out for analysing threat networks in their various areas of responsibility.

These analyses are necessary to identify the relationships, critical capabilities, and vulnerabilities of these networks and thus make decisions about the best way to influence them in advance, so that IED attacks cannot be carried out.
