The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) participated in the event The Defence of Cyberspace and Telecommunications, organised by the Aragonese-Navarrese Association of Graduates in Telecommunications and Information Technology Engineering (ANRGIT), which was held in Zaragoza and addressed challenges and strategies in the defence of cyberspace and the key role of telecommunications in these risks.
Commander Enrique Pérez de Tena, representing the MCCE, gave a presentation entitled “Military Operations in Cyberspace”, in which he discussed the work of the Armed Forces in this area and explained to the audience the insecurities facing society and the threats that exist in the cyberspace environment.
This presentation was followed by two round tables, the first with cybersecurity experts from the State Security Forces, led by Carlos García Falcón, Head of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Zaragoza, and Alejandro Bernués Mateos, Captain of the Guardia Civil of Huesca; and the second, composed of companies such as Proofpoint, Allied Telesis, Iberia and Embou.
