Two representatives from the Spanish Verification Unit (UVE) of the Defence Staff (EMAD) took part in an official visit organised by the Royal Jordanian Armed Forces, in coordination with NATO. Several international delegations also participated in the visit. The main scope of the visit was to assess the current conditions regarding ammunition storage and management. This visit occurs within the framework to support Jordan in the field of Small Arms and Light Weapons and Ammunition Control (SALW-MC).

Delegations from Switzerland and Spain attended, as well as international organisations linked to NATO, including the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). Attendees received presentations on the capabilities of each facility, visited their infrastructure and engaged in direct dialogue with Jordanian personnel responsible for ammunition management.

Before concluding the visit, the attendees did a joint evaluation yielding positive results in terms of cooperation, exchange of experiences and strengthening of mutual trust.
