  • The students of the VI, VII and VIII Basic Course of Specialisation in Cyber-operations for enlisted military personnel (CBECO MTM) complete their initial training

The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) has held the closing ceremony of the sixth, seventh and eighth edition of the Cyber Operations Specialisation Courses for enlisted military personnel (CBECO MTM).

Forty-four students successfully completed the course. During the closing ceremony, diplomas certifying the successful completion of the course were awarded.

It should be noted that, following the joint vocation of the Military Cyber Operations School (EMCO), these courses have trained Troops and Sailors from the Army and Navy, personnel whose final destinations are the MCCE and units with responsibilities in cyberdefence tasks of the Army and Navy.

The ceremony was presided over by the Second Commander of the Joint Cyberspace Command, Brigadier General Federico Juste de Santa Ana, who addressed a few words to the students and urged them to reflect on the importance of the knowledge acquired during the course, on their trajectory within the Armed Forces and on the continuous need to continue training in this field in order not to be left behind. To achieve this, he encouraged them to hold fast to the solid principles and values of responsibility, humility, perseverance and effort that must guide their military life in order to reach the highest levels of performance and service to Spain. Our greatest asset is our personnel; it is our main asset and our most important objective.

For his part, the Acting Director of EMCO, Lieutenant Colonel Fernando Palop Alcaide, also had a few words of recognition and encouragement for the students. He congratulated the enthusiasm shown and the level of achievement which, together with the guidance of the teachers, have been key to obtaining an optimum performance that guarantees the training of our cyber operators.

EMCO has designed a course whose main objective is to prepare students for their incorporation into the Cyber Defence Units and, as an additional objective, to lay the foundations for graduates to be able to take the Basic Information Courses in Cyber Operations for MTM that will begin a week later.

The rest of the teaching and management staff of the cyber-operations military school  'Escuela Militar de Ciberopearciones' also took part in the closing ceremony. The Deputy Coordinator of the teaching staff of the CESTE University Centre, which was awarded the public contract to teach these courses, Carmen Galan Cuellar, made a special mention to the students with the best academic performance.
