5th anniversary of the Central Cybercrime Unit commemorated in C1b3rwall
One more year, the MCCE participates with a stand at the 5th Anniversary of the ‘Jornadas C1b3erwall’ under the slogan Trusted Identity organised by the National Police. From 3 to 6 June, the public can enjoy an event full of lectures, workshops and networking at the National Police School in Ávila.
The conference was born in 2018 after finding an important need to raise public awareness about cyber-attacks. Likewise, public-private collaboration is essential to develop this type of event. The main objective is to carry out different training activities in order to increase the population's cybersecurity skills. The activities are aimed at both professionals and citizens on the street. In addition, children have a reserved area called ‘C1b3rwall junior’ where they can interact with professionals from the sector.
This year C1b3rwall is of special relevance, as it commemorates the 5th anniversary of the Central Cybercrime Unit (UCC). For this reason, various training actions have been organised specifically reserved for members of the National Police. On the other hand, the Commander of the MCCE, together with the Grey Berets, will participate in conferences and round tables to explain the importance of his institution in cyber defence.
Personal identity suffers from the consequences of the digital footprint, but people are often unaware of the repercussions this can have. It is vital to have spaces like C1b3rwall where relevant institutions can inform citizens, as well as share knowledge, tools and resources by fostering public-private collaboration.
