The 14th GISEC GLOBAL Cyberdrill 2025 was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in collaboration with the UAE Cybersecurity Council, the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Dubai Police.
GISEC is one of the world’s leading gatherings for the cybersecurity community. It brings together top cybersecurity firms, CISOs from major corporations across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, government representatives, global cybersecurity leaders, and both regional and international innovators to discuss current and future developments across all sectors and regions.
Under the theme ‘Securing an AI-Powered Future’, the event tackled emerging cybersecurity challenges driven by artificial intelligence, including deepfakes, critical infrastructure attacks, and ransomware. A central focus was the need for joint government–industry collaboration to counter advanced cyber threats effectively.
Technology companies such as AWS, Huawei, Microsoft, Google Cloud Security, Cisco, Deloitte, Kaspersky, Check Point, Cloudflare, and Honeywell showcased their latest cybersecurity innovations. In addition, specialised firms and startups like Spire Solutions, CPX, CyberKnight, and CrowdStrike presented advanced cyber defence solutions.
The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) attended the event, participating in various closed-door meetings. Over the final two days, it represented Spain in several ‘Capture the Flag’-type exercises organised for the more than 138 participating countries.
