The Combined Air Operations Centre Torrejón (CAOC TJ) held its annual ‘Vigil Run’ ceremony, commemorating prisoners of war and personnel who have fallen in the line of duty serving the North Atlantic Alliance.

The event is divided into two distinct parts: a sporting challenge and a charitable initiative. The first part consisted of a relay race lasting approximately seven hours, with twenty teams representing the various countries and units that make up CAOC TJ.

They were joined by other units of the Spanish Air and Space Force, including ESTAER, Wing 12, CLAEX, CIMA, UMAER, CLOIN, GRUCEMAC, CESAEROB, and the Air Operations Centre of the Combat Air Command, as well as the NCIA Detachment based at the CAOC TJ facilities, primarily staffed by Spanish personnel.

Additionally, the personnel of the Torrejón Air Base Group contributed by providing the venue and also took part in the race with their own team.

The event concluded successfully both in terms of attendance and fundraising, with proceeds to be donated to a local charity.
