The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) participated in the 6th Peace, Security, and Defence Course for Teachers in Murcia. The event took place at the Regional Library of Murcia and was attended by representatives from the MCCE’s Office of Institutional Relations and the National Police.
The participants, first, received a presentation on the organisation and operational framework of the MCCE, as well as the primary threats we face, originating from the ‘grey zone’ and falling within the scope of hybrid threats, which are so prevalent today. Following this, the teachers were invited to take part in a practical exercise with a simulated scenario, which demonstrated the continuous presence of cyber defence in every stage of any planning process.
In another lecture delivered by the National Police, the participants were made aware of their teaching responsibilities, the importance of handling personal information with care, and the measures they should adopt to mitigate potential threats on the networks.
Courses that promote Defence culture and enable the Armed Forces to engage with the public are essential platforms for linking the work of the Command with civil society.
