The Joint Cyberspace Command is hosting the ‘Multinational CIS Security Management Authority Working Group Meeting’ which is taking place in Malaga from 24 to 28 February. This event is part of the annual meetings of NATO's Federated Mission Networking (FMN) initiative and will bring together experts from various nations to address critical aspects related to the security of communication and information systems (CIS).

The main objective of this working group is to strengthen the interoperability and security of CIS systems used in multinational military operations. Participants will discuss and develop security protocols and standards that will enable secure and seamless communication between Allied forces, a fundamental pillar of successful joint missions.

By organising and leading events such as this, the Joint Cyberspace Command fulfils several of the Unit's objectives, including international cooperation. At this meeting, experts from different NATO member countries share their expertise and experience regarding CIS security. Cooperation is crucial to ensure that we are at the forefront of cyber defence, and in this respect the Joint Cyberspace Command is always a benchmark among our partners and allies.

Interoperability is also being pursued, strengthening the ability of different nations' information and communication systems to operate together securely. The creation and establishment of synergies between different systems will ensure freedom of action in networks and a constant ability to adapt.

This meeting will also address cyber security issues, as well as the latest threats and challenges in this field. The countries around us, as well as Spain, are well aware of the importance of this security.

This meeting directly contributes to the objectives of NATO's FMN initiative, which aims to improve interoperability between Allied forces. Once again, Spain and the Joint Cyberspace Command reaffirm their commitment to security and defence in the digital domain and appreciate the participation of all the experts and representatives of the Allies in this important event.
