The Joint Cyberspace Command participated in the Cyberco meeting held in Hungary. The working meeting was chaired by Lieutenant General Ferenc Kajári, Deputy Chief of the Hungarian Defence Staff and Colonel Gábor Pozderka, Commander of the Hungarian Cyber Command.
This meeting was attended by Spain's Deputy Commander of the Joint Cyberspace Command, Brigadier General Federico Juste de Santa Ana. The meeting was a particularly important milestone in terms of bringing positions closer together and strengthening coordination decisions towards a common, joint and effective cyber defence.
Through various lectures and both formal and informal meetings, the delegations of the member countries were able to bring positions closer to the proposal of joint solutions to guarantee the defence of the countries that make up the European Union in the area of cyber defence. In addition to the national delegations, the event was attended by specialists and leaders from the European Defence Agency (EDA), always ready to serve as a coordinating element at the service of each national Ministry of Defence.
Such meetings and summits are of great relevance to the Joint Cyberspace Command because, on the one hand, the sharing of capabilities enables the definition of future goals and, on the other, they create opportunities for cooperation that would otherwise be very difficult to achieve. Cyber defence involves technological advancement, analysis of the effect of AI and the dizzying effect of constant advancement, yet it is both direct contact and human understanding that are our main guarantees and safeguards, both among ourselves as members of the Armed Forces and in organisations such as Cyberco, when we act as effective and reliable allies.
