The Joint Cyberspace Command (JCCC) held the 15th edition of the Cyber Commanders Forum (CCF) from 24 to 26 September in Malaga. The Command invited the 42 nations belonging to the forum, of which more than 35 Cyber Commanders from friendly countries from five continents participated, for a total of more than 100 attendees. The event enhanced the interaction between the different countries with more than 40 bilateral meetings, among which the United States and Spain stood out for their demand.
Additionally, the MCCE presented the recently created Military School of Cyber Operations (EMCO), which caused great interest, as Spain is the first and only country in the world to have a school that provides the same cyber operations training to all its Armed Forces.
To maximize the effort invested in organizing of the CCF and to ensure the greatest possible presence, two more events were organised in parallel and a third was coordinated with Google, which complemented the programme:
In addition, it actively participated in the ‘GSEC Cybersecurity Summit: Cyber Defence in the Age of AI’, which had been coordinated with the Google Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity, located at the headquarters in Malaga, so that the Commanders of the Cyber Command could attend.
The Spanish presidency of the Cyber Commanders Forum has successfully fulfilled its objective, as it has positioned Spain internationally as a benchmark country in the cyber field, especially the city of Malaga. Likewise, the forum has made it possible to demonstrate, both at military and business level, cyberspace capabilities to an influential NATO audience.
