An information day was held at the Retamares Base on the future ‘Classified Cyber Range (CCR)’ project, which will enhance the training capacity already existing in the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE). The event, organised by the MCCE, was attended by more than 100 people from 50 companies from the Defence and Security sector and different Defence organisations.
This system will enable instruction and training in the full range of military cyberspace operations in a more realistic way (Defensive, ISR, Response), integrating multi-domain operations (MDO) as well as the development of concepts of employment for Cyberspace Operations and the evaluation, testing and validation of specific cyberspace capabilities.
During the session, which was attended by representatives of the Centre of Information and Communications Systems and Technologies (CESTIC), the Defence Staff (EMAD) and important companies and universities, the technical and operational needs of the future system and the timetable were presented.
This is a complex and ambitious project that requires public-private collaboration and will encourage cooperation and collaboration among companies.
