The fourteenth meeting of the Cyber Commanders Forum (CCF), the world's largest forum of Cyber Commanders, was held in Tallinn, but with a strong Spanish atmosphere, with the presence of countries from all continents, including NATO, as well as friendly countries such as Ukraine, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Korea and Singapore.
As cyber defence becomes more prominent in international conflicts, it is essential to improve cooperation and thinking on cyber defence among partners and allies.
This Forum serves as a point of contact for Cyber Commanders from nearly 100 countries to exchange views in their fields of operation and to identify possible opportunities for cooperation. At the same time, the CCF offers broad opportunities for establishing contacts and relationships.
During the year 2024, the Spanish Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) holds the presidency of this Forum and its Commander, Vice Admiral Javier ROCA is the chairman and organiser of the two annual meetings. One of them in Tallinn prior to the International Cyber Conference (CyCON) organised by the Cyberspace Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and the other will be held in Malaga in September.
The main topic of this meeting, ‘From Training to Operations’ has been a challenge for the participants, confronting them with new approaches to the reality that cyberspace has exposed us to.
The MCCE is considered a global cyber command of reference and the perception of our country is very positive, as it is seen as a reliable and solvent ally, capable of contributing experience and knowledge to this fifth domain of operations.
